SwissQual works continually to develop as true a measure of network quality as possible. We do this by making a large investment in fundamental research. This includes research into human perception of delivered quality, not only in laboratory conditions but also in real life situations with street noise and other typical distractions. Our research allows us to identify component contributors to perceived quality, helping operators to concentrate on the quality issues which make the most difference to their subscribers.
This research has led to SwissQual being an active member of a number of industry standards bodies including the ITU, ETSI and VQEG. This ensures that our products are well ahead of industry needs and are well informed by the concepts that lie behind the standards.
We are also committed to the delivery of the best possible quality in our system manufacture. This not only ensures long, reliable service from our systems, it also ensures that your time and money is not wasted in having to repeat measurements due to equipment failure. Our Diversity Benchmarker probe, for example, features built in shock mounting, active system cooling, its own isolated power supply system and separate, dedicated processors for each measurement channel.
We also think about the complete network quality measuring process. This means that we build in features such as an automatic device reboot, to re-start crashed measurement devices without human intervention and intelligent data management, automatically transmitting and saving only the important data to save on data transmission bandwidth, data storage and processing time.
