Technical Sales Managers (5 positions)

About the role
SwissQual has a strong reputation for delivering high quality systems that help mobile networks understand and investigate the quality of their mobile networks, providing sophisticated technical products to detail-oriented customers who depend on our reliability and precision.
SwissQual Technical Sales Managers (TSMs) are key roles within that environment. They are one of the major factors driving commercial success during the technical phases of customer engagements, ensuring that SwissQual's products are displayed to best effect and reflect the company's well-above-average investment in high quality research and development.
Reporting to the VP of Sales and Marketing, you will be targeted at ensuring SwissQual is the clear choice for customers who are looking for premium, high-quality solutions in the benchmarking, optimization and service quality industries.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Being the primary responsible person for driving technical engagement and success with customers during the Sales process
- Working closely with your Sales and Product Management colleagues to ensure that SwissQual is presenting the best possible response to customer requirements
- Being able to effectively plan and successfully execute pilot and trial installations at customer premises on your own initiative
- Being able to generate accurate, high quality technical sales collaterals such as slides decks and trial reports, as well as completing the technical aspects of RFI and RFP responses on your own initiative
- Being technically exceptionally competent in the general areas of mobile network benchmarking and radio network optimization
- Being able to rapidly develop respected and trusted expertise regarding SwissQual equipment, features and use cases
- Proactively visiting existing customers, forming relationships with key customer contacts, and end users
- Being proactive in identifying and rapidly addressing new business opportunities when you see them arise during customer visits
- Monitoring competitive position and provide regular feedback to colleagues in Sales and Product Management, to help develop roadmaps that deliver differentiating features
- Being able to manage your own time effectively, coordinating with your Sales colleagues to be in the right place at the right time and for the right amount of time to deliver repeatedly successful outcomes
- Supporting major events such as MWC with technical expertise
About You
The position of SwissQual TSM demands a special blend of personal skills and professional capabilities. TSM's are self-starters with both outstanding technical expertise and likeable interpersonal skills.
They have the ability and authority to take full personal control of the technical aspects of a customer technical engagement and drive that engagement to a successful outcome.
Your Qualifications
An engineering degree, electronics or communications preferred.
Several years experience of the mobile telecoms sector, preferably in the market in which SwissQual operates i.e. mobile network quality or performance.
Excellent knowledge of SwissQual products a big advantage.
Experience in a technical sales environment would be helpful, but not essential.
Good knowledge of the sector in terms of customers, competitors, trends, and technical developments.
Good ability to communicate clearly and accurately to explain product features and trial results with technical customers.
A likeable, approachable, dedicated personality.
Facility with languages a plus point.
Must speak English very well, a second language is also helpful.
Remuneration & Benefits
Based within a specific sales region, the job will require very regular travel to customer premises for on-site meetings, trials, pilots etc.
You should expect to be located locally with customer for several days at a time, and be willing to travel both with your sales colleagues and independently to customer sites quite frequently - typically at least once a week.
To balance the on-site nature of the job, a home-based position is an option for the right candidate, and remuneration includes a success-based component (sales commission) that is aligned with the goals of Commercial Sales Managers.
