SwissQual Bids for Market Leadership With Improved Hand Held Unit Oct 2009

SwissQual, the independent Swiss network quality measurement company, has carried out a major upgrade in the functionality of its QualiPoc hand-held network quality unit. This, claims the company, puts it back into technology leadership in the market sector.

Says David González, SwissQual Product Manager: “Back in 2000 SwissQual introduced the QualiPoc unit and started the hand held network test equipment market sector. Following that introduction, SwissQual used its fundamental research capability to develop the Diversity range of tools to provide the industry standard in benchmarking accuracy and repeatability. Now we have significantly improved the QualiPoc range of products to re-acquire technical leadership in the hand held sector. In order to provide a superior solution to those offered by our competitors, we have introduced a number of key capabilities such as RF scanning and HSUPA testing,”

To ensure market, as well as technical leadership, SwissQual is also packaging the QualiPoc handheld range in a new way. The new approach allows engineers to acquire a basic QualiPoc unit at a highly affordable price and then add to it as new needs emerge.

Says John May, SwissQual CEO, “We have decided to make QualiPoc much more widely available. QualiPoc offers a uniquely wide range of tests facilities; full integration with SwissQual’s post-processing and reporting tools, true bi-directional quality of service (MOS) testing algorithms and, our latest feature, a full RF channel scanning facility. Many agree that this makes a most impressive package and a highly sophisticated tool. However not everyone needs the full range of features that this offers. Nor can they afford to pay for it. Our new packaging initiative lets operators and service companies grow their testing capability as their needs change”.
