SwissQual, the independent Swiss network quality measurement company, has appointed Concilium Technologies (Pty) Ltd as a reseller for Sub Saharan Africa. The move gives SwissQual significant market presence in the area for the first time. The agreement covers SwissQual’s range of solutions for quality of service benchmarking, optimisation and service monitoring. This provides solutions for a range of network technologies including 2G, 3G, HSDPA, HSUPA and Wi-Max
SwissQual CEO, John May says, “Our products have been in use in Africa for many years. However, to date, they have mainly been used by drive test service providers. Our Diversity measurement units, in particular, have proven very popular because of their high environmental specifications. They offer shock rating up to 50G, operation in temperatures up to 50C and a unique power supply design that enables the system to work smoothly in the most variable and noisy of vehicle electrical environments.This has allowed drive test companies to reduce failures and the need to re-cover sections of the network. Now, with the backing of Concilium, and their sales coverage, superb support and consulting services, we can make the same benefits available to operators in the region.”
