SwissQual, the independent Swiss network quality measurement company, has shipped the 500th Diversity system. The Diversity system was first introduced in late 2006 and is now in use by more than 70 mobile operators, service providers and regulators in over 50 countries around the world. More than 2000 individual testing channels have been shipped for benchmarking and network optimization.
Says Magnus Hylen, Diversity Benchmarker Product Manager: “The Diversity System has been so successful for two key reasons: It is a highly flexible platform which you can adapt and configure to address a wide range of needs including both benchmarking and optimization projects. It is also a gold standard in terms of accuracy and reliability for operation in all types of environments from the Arctic Circle to the deserts of the Middle East. As our company’s tenth birthday approaches, it is very gratifying to have also reached this highly significant milestone.”
The Diversity system supports all forms of testing including voice, data, messaging and video across a wide range of bearer technologies from GSM, UMTS and CDMA through to HSPA+ and LTE. It also shares common record formats, control systems and post-processing with other products from the SwissQual Evolution system such as the QualiPoc handheld units.
