An Independent View of Network Quality
SwissQual Evolution shows you a direct view of the quality of service that is actually being delivered to consumers…. It monitors data, services and voice communications.
It directly shows you those issues that are of most concern to consumers:
-
How clear are the calls
- How quickly data is transferred
- What coverage they get
- How likely they are to get dropped
- How reliable the services are
These are complete, end to end views. They are not just a measurement of one technical link in the chain.
Management By KPIs
SwissQual Evolution allows you to develop meaningful KPIs for each network and to accurately monitor each network’s performance against them on a near real time basis.
The system can be first used to establish an “industry norm” for key indicators such as clarity of communications, dropped calls, service reliability and so on by measuring competitive networks. You could also look at the key indicators for networks in other countries or regions.
Then you can decide whether your policy is to require operators to improve by setting stretch quality targets, to insist on a minimum “average” performance or simply to require that operators stay “in touch” with competitive quality. This then allows you to set specific targets, both for the network as a whole and for individual parts of it.
These KPIs can be regularly reviewed to compare them with the industry norms and to ensure that standards are always improved. Once the system has been operating for some time, you can plot trends for the performance of all networks.
You can easily isolate issues and allocate clear responsibility.
Additional Benefits For Operators
By highlighting areas of poor coverage or poor quality of communication, the system will also help you to help operators plug gaps which are directly losing them revenue. The system can also simulate the experience of roamers on the network. This means that operators can ensure that as many roamers as possible are first acquired and then kept on the network.
