Benchmarking

SwissQual offers a wide choice of probes, servers and post-processing software to give you a highly flexible system solution. Probes include units from the Qualipoc and Diversity product ranges.

Delivering a meaningful measurement of network quality
We carry out fundamental research into voice and video quality and the way that it is perceived by the subscribers to a telecom service.  We use the results of this research to help us calibrate our quality analysis algorithms to reflect as accurately as possible the typical subscriber’s perception.

We also look carefully at the effect of using telephony in “real world” environments. This means, for example, measuring the quality for phone calls made in “noisy” environments such as might be found on a busy street, in an airport or in a typical office.

This means that SwissQual benchmarking solutions help you to accurately measure and compare the quality that is actually experienced by your, and by your competitors’, customers.

Keeping you up to date
At SwissQual, research and development has a high priority. We dedicate over 60% of our total expenditure to it. A particular focus is made on support for new devices, new air interfaces and new services. We are also active members of many standards bodies including the ITU, ETSI and VQEG. Our product designs are therefore not only compliant with the standards but are also informed by the concepts that lie behind them.

All this means that a decision to invest in SwissQual benchmarking is a safe, future proof, decision.

High reliability, high accuracy
Because you are making important decisions based on the results of your benchmarking, it is vital that you can trust these results. At SwissQual we therefore ensure that our measurement platforms are of the highest quality to ensure the highest accuracy, repeatability and reliability.

For example, in our Diversity product range we include features such as built in equipment heating and cooling. This not only gives the product an extended operational temperature range (-30C to +70C), but also ensures that measurements are less likely to be affected by thermal effects. Diversity products are fitted with built in shock absorbers and tested on 50G shock tables to ensure that units are not affected by disconnections and wear due to vibration. All units are supplied with military specification connectors.

We also consider the effects of installation issues such as the supply of power in a vehicle. For example, to eliminate common voltage variation problems in vehicles, Diversity units are provided with built in UPS systems driven by a 48V power supply.

As a result SwissQual units have one of the lowest return rates in the business.

Low cost of use
Our obsession with quality leads directly to a lower cost of use. Low failure rates mean that your drive test teams are kept on the road for longer, driving down your overall costs.

The high temperature and vibration specifications also mean that your SwissQual units can be used in more applications to deliver you more useful service.
